The Val Kennedy Courts — official opening

11am–2pmEthel Ward Playing Fields, Haxby

The rebuilt courts are officially opened as the Val Kennedy Courts, with a community sports day to mark it. The old netball courts are now a modern, accessible facility for netball, football and running — there are have-a-go sessions in all three sports, a prize draw for anyone who tries every one, and the plans for a Haxby Community Sports and Wellbeing Pavilion on show.
